It's funny that Chan Than San had his fan clubs in Thailand, Hong Kong,
and Singapore before Vietnamese teenagers heard about him.
Actually, he had modeled for some Vietnamese fashion magazines before he pursued his modeling career in Hong Kong.
This so-called hot boy only has idolized by Vietnamese teenagers after he
established a successful modeling career in Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand and China.
In Vietnam, he has been dogged by rumors that he is gay and he has undergone plastic surgery.
Of course, he denied all of them.

The letters in the pictures above is Japanese so I guessed he came from Japan.
But I changed my mind when I saw this photo.
Well, he might be Korean. But things became confusing to me when I saw more pictures of him.
That's Petronas Twin Towers in Malaysia.
OK, the photos above could be taken during his trips around Asia.
Then I assumed the guy was Chinese since I found many pictures of him in China.

All the entries on his blog are written in English so I only can guessed his nationality via the images on the site.
When I reached to the oldest entries on his blog, it turned out that the kid is Vietnamese.
He wrote something about coming back to Vietnam and some entries are about his life in Vietnam.
He also posted some pictures of him modeling for Vietnamese magazines.
Is it just me or does the kid look like a clone of a Korean or Japanese actor?
Am I narrow-minded for thinking this kid looks boring because he doesn't look like a Vietname guy?
Chan Than San is this boy's stage name.
It's pronounced similar to his real Vietnamese name Tran Thanh Son.
The boy was discorvered by popular TV host Quan Yifeng, who referred San to Carrie Model Agency, while he was studying abroad in Singapore.
Chan Than San has appeared in a lot of Asian magazines and TV commercials.
His images are widely spread throughout the Internet via fashion forums and websites.
He quickly became a fashion icon in some Asian countries.
However, this lad is often misidentified as a Chinese or Korean guy.

There's a rumor that he had undergone plastic surgery on his face.

he had plastic surgery have been posted posted on gossip websites and fashion forums.

However, Chan Than San denied having any work done on his face.
Well, even if his features are natural, I still think he looks so boring.
I think the reason why he is featured in many fashion editorials and TV commercials is
they don't have to pay much for a real Korean actor, but they still have a "Korean" boy there. Holy shit!

Tommy Tran was born in Vietnam, but he moved to the USA with his family at the age of 12.
As an international model, he had worked in Singapore, South Korea, Philippines, Thailand,
Malaysia, Indonesia and China before he decided to settle in the homeland.
Now, he mostly does business in the entertainment and fashion industry in Vietnam.
Alongside work for his own entertainment company Tsquare Media, he is also an actor.
I've watched his film and I have to say his acting wasn't good at all.
I thought that he just read his lines. I didn't feel the emotional connection.
Tommy Tran also hosts a show on YAN TV, a music television channel in Vietnam.
I've heard that YAN TV is a part of his entertainment company.
By setting up his own entertainment company, Tommy Tran wanted to make his wish to promote Vietnamese models internationally come true. Great!

Derek Ramsay and Fabio Ide, two top male models in Philippines, both get wet in Oxygen's Summer 2010 campaign.
Derek Ramsay, 30, is Filipino-British actor, host and commercial model.
His British father was a Detective Inspector in the Metropolitan Police in London and met Derek's mother
while she was working in the Cadogan Hotel in England as head of Housekeeping dept.
Derek didn't have good relationship with his father.
He ran away from home at the age of 21.
The actor said running away was the result of an argument with his parents about the family-owned business. “When I joined the company after graduation, I had all these bright new ideas, to change the way things were being done. But my dad was very old school.”
"I felt that my parents were spoiling me. I wanted to make my own life. Like my dad, I hope to one day look at the house I’ve built with my own money and feel proud," the actor said.
Ramsay got his first lead role as chef Mito Valenzuela in a television drama called Ysabella.
